Onion Crisis

PM steps in to write a letter to agriculture minister Mr. Sharad Pawar. If the government is saying that they are continuously working for the common people. Where are the common people in their agenda? Since UPA II has been came in power in 2009 the price rises of food items including all the items which are necessary for common people. Mr. Prince will always say we will continue with common people. On all front government fallen down. All necessary items prices have been gone out of reach of common people. How they can control because if the one person of cabinet has been made more than Rs.1, 74,000Crores money in just six years. And our PM says, we will get rid of price rise of onion and what about all other product.

Our PM will say always that we can control of the inflation rate next Jan, next June, Next Dec……….How many time frame they will ask from common people. Government is saying we are getting 8-9% growth rate, but the 13-16% food inflation rate and 8-9% inflation rate. How the common people will survive? If you are saying it is your good achievement that you should about China has 11% of growth rate and 2-3% of inflation rate. Where is the growth rate effect? Is it affecting our common people taking their valuable money towards making money by their minister? But I am sorry Mr. Prime Minister you will have to answer the common people that when and how you will control the food inflation rate.

Onion prices over the globe are following:
Russia- Rs.80/Kg
Germany-Rs.100/Kg
United Kingdom-Rs.60/Kg
Islamabad-Rs.60/Kg
Don’t this how could be onion can sell in Indian rupees in foreign country, it is accumulated prices in their perspective country’s currency.

Some time ago Islamabad and Rawalpindi were importing the onions but now we are importing the same onion which we have been exported them. This is the policy of our government, first we will export than import. Where is the government working for common people?

Tendulkar @50th Test centuries

Congratulation to Master to become the first ever batsman in history of cricket to hit a 5oth test centuries. Time stood still on Sunday as Sachin got to his 50th Test hundred a day after his father’s birth anniversary. This milestone was just a formality waiting to happen. Just a number, as Sachin later agreed. However, the towering nature of this achievement would leave you breathless any day.

Congratulation again!

Scams in India since Independence

Talking specifically about scams, I think the major scams which have haunted 'Mother India' . Since Independence are as follows:-

Mundhra Scandal
The Mundhra scandal involved then finance minister T T Krishnamachari, who pressured the government-owned Life Insurance Corporation of India into bailing out Haridas Mundhra, a Calcutta-based industrialist, by buying shares worth Rs 1.24 crore in six companies owned by him.

Fodder Scam
Fodder Scam is a scam related to Animal Husbandry Department of Government of Bihar in which irregularities of nearly Rs 950 crores (US $ 210 million) were detected. The scam was unearthed in 1996 during the regime of chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav.

Bofors Scandal
The Bofors Scandal was a major corruption scandal in India in the 1980s; the then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and several others were accused of receiving kickbacks from Bofors AB for winning a bid to supply India's 155 mm field howitzer.

Security Scam
In April 1992, the Indian stock market crashed, and Harshad Mehta, the person who was all along considered as the architect of the bull run was blamed for the crash. It transpired that he had manipulated the Indian banking systems to siphon off the funds from the banking system, and used the liquidity to build large positions in a select group of stocks.

Lakhubhai Pathak cheating scandal
Lakhubhai Pathak, an Indian businessman living in England alleged that Chandraswami and K.N. Aggarwal alias Mamaji, along with Mr. Rao, cheated him out of $100,000.00. The amount was given for an express promise for allowing supplies of paper pulp in India, and Pathak alleged that he spent an additional $30,000.00 entertaining Chandraswami and his secretary.

Hawala Scandal
The Hawala scandal or hawala scam was an Indian political scandal involving payments allegedly received by politicians through hawala brokers, the Jain brothers. It was a US$18 million dollar bribery scandal that implicated some of the country's leading politicians.

Lavalin Scandal
The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) signed an MoU with Lavalin in August 1995. Under the provisions of the MoU, the funds for the renovation were to be arranged by SNC Lavalin from the Export Development Corporation (EDC), Canada, and the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). The Board did   so, ignoring the CEA's recommendation that immediate replacement of the generating units at the Pallivasal power station was not called for as the plant was in fairly good condition.

Ketan Parekh Scandal
Companies when raising money from the stock market rope in brokers to back them in raising the share price. Ketan Parekh formed a network of brokers from smaller exchanges like the Allahabad Stock Exchange and the Calcutta Stock Exchange. Ketan also used benami or share purchase in the name of poor people living in the shanty towns of Mumbai. Ketan's rise to fame occurred at the same time as the worldwide dot-com boom (1999-2000) and he relied primarily on the shares of ten companies for his dealings.

Barak Missile Scandal
The Barak Missile Scandal is a case of defence corruption relating to the purchase of Barak Missile Systems by India from Israel. The case is currently   under investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation, and several people including the Samata Party ex-treasurer R.K. Jain have been arrested. Others named in the First Information Report include politicians George Fernandes and Jaya Jaitly, and arms dealer and ex-naval officer Suresh Nanda, who is the son of retired chief of naval staff S.M. Nanda.

The Tehelka expose
In 2001 a sting operation conducted by Tehelka, alleged that 15 defence deals made by the government had involved some sort of kickback and the Barak deal was one of them.
The NDA government set up a commission to investigate the matter. The UPA government, currently in power, has rejected the part-report by the commission and the whole matter is now being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
Telgi Fake Stamp Scam
Telgi was arrested in 1991 by Mumbai police for fraud. During his subsequent prison sentence, he reportedly learned the art of forgery from an expert. He was released and, in 1994, acquired a stamp paper licence from the Government of India. He began printing fake stamp paper. He appointed 300 people as agents who sold the fakes to bulk purchasers, including banks, FIs, insurance companies, and share-broking firms. His monthly profits have been estimated as being in the neighbourhood of Rs 202 crore.

Food for Oil Programme Scandal
The Then External Affairs Minister, Natwar Singh was removed from the post on November 7, 2005 (though retaining a cabinet role as minister without portfolio) following a controversy over his alleged involvement in the United Nations Iraqi Oil for Food scandal. The Independent Inquiry Committee under Paul   Volcker had reported on October 27, 2005 that he and his son Jagat Singh were non-contractual beneficiaries of the Oil for food programme.

Mid Day Meal Scam
In January 2006, the Delhi Police unearthed a scam in the Mid-Day Meal Scheme. In December 2005, the police had seized eight truckloads (2,760 sacks) of rice meant for primary schoolchildren being carried from Food Corporation of India (FCI) godowns in Bulandshahr District of UP to North Delhi. When the police detained the trucks, the drivers claimed that the rice was being brought all the way to Delhi to be cleaned at a factory. However, according to the guidelines, the rice has to be taken directly from FCI godown to the school or village concerned. Later it was found that the rice was being siphoned off by a UP-based NGO, Bharatiya Manav Kalyan Parishad (BMKP), in connivance with the government officials.

I request Mrs. Gandhi to read this list and realize how much scam takes place in congress’s regime.

Indian Black Money in Swiss Bank

Top five countries having deposits in Swiss Bank Association:

India—- $1,456 billion (Public loot since 1947) Scams in India since Independence

Russia —$ 470 billion

UK ——-$390 billion

Ukraine – $100 billion

China —–$ 96 billion

According to Global Financial Integrity Indian politicians, IAS, IRS, IPS and people from entertainment and sports industry have deposited $ 325 billion in last five years in Swiss accounts. This may be the picture of deposits in Swiss banks only. What about other international destinations? There are presumably more than 70 Tax havens in the world. Indian wealth could be more in Switzerland and various British /US islands. At least forty countries market themselves aggressively as tax havens. India has more money in Swiss banks than all the other countries combined.

Interestingly Swiss government agreed to disclose the names of the account holders only if the respective governments formally asked for it but Indian govt. is not asking for the details. Annually more than 100,000 Indians travel to Switzerland, of whom 35,000 travel very frequently. A few corrupt Indians have 1.5 trillion dollars of black money.

India and Switzerland signed the amended Double Taxation Avoidance Treaty, which will help the government seek details about the ill-gotten money allegedly stashed away by Indians in Swiss banks. ‘Our government has to ratify the amended treaty. It is just a formality. The Indian government has informed us that the treaty has been ratified by it’.

A large number of Indians are alleged to have assets worth billions of dollars in banks in Switzerland. And the issue of Indians having secret Swiss bank accounts was a poll plank during last year’s general elections. The German government has announced that it would share information on accounts held in the tax haven with any government that wants it, for free. Intriguingly, Indian government was silent on this issue and did not approach the German government for a long time for a look into that data. Later, it wrote a cursory letter under pressure from Opposition but has not disclosed the response of the German government.

It is common knowledge that trillions of dollars of Indian money is in various tax heavens like Antigua, Switzerland, Bahamas, Liechtenstein, Isle of Man, and St Kitts, etc. In a socialistic way, all leaders, be they from business, politics, film, sports or bureaucracy, participated in creating what we may call secular wealth cutting across caste and creed. Also, good portion of the defense commissions were settled abroad. Plus some of our bureaucrats and entertainers and artists have also accumulated wealth abroad. This lobby is well-entrenched and one of the main losers in the appreciation of the rupee.

Worst part of the story is the loss of these deposits to Swiss banks themselves up on the death of some of these depositors who have not passed on the relevant account information to their progeny. These are operated using codes but most of them require passport and its number as a proof. That is the reason one finds some persons traveling to Switzerland with all expired passports. Zurich is the only European town which has Hindi slogans written on the side of its trams. Of course it is supposedly linked to Bollywood, but the India traffic to Zurich has to be seen to be believed.

It is estimated that between $500 billion and $1,400 billion is hoarded in Swiss banks and add with that the money stashed in territories like Virgin islands and Bahamas and other assorted tax havens. We need to take steps to bring it back to India. The mechanics can be worked out in terms of amnesty and Swiss bonds issued against these dollars. It can tremendously boost our foreign exchange reserves and facilitate infrastructure investment.

“No criminals” in politics is a good campaign. But can we have leaders with funds stashed abroad? The black money abroad is the Gangotri of all crimes.

Hindu radicalism

Attack on fundamentalism and corruption, Congress President Sonia Gandhi said majority and minority communalism are dangerous and must be defeated and favoured fast-tracking all corruption cases, including those of politicians. Addressing the Congress Plenary, she dwelt at length a number of corruption charges hitting the party and the UPA government headed by it and the controversy surrounding Rahul Gandhi's comments about Hindu radicalism being "bigger threat" than groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba. "The Congress party makes no distinction between organisations of the majority and of the minority communities who indulge in communalism and related acts of terrorism. They are all dangerous, they must all be defeated.

"It is the abuse of religion and to spread hatred and bigotry. It is the abuse of religion to polarise our society and to divide us." Dwelling on the issue of corruption over which the government and the party have been under attack, the Congress President expressed concern over the fact that it has "become a disease" at all levels throughout the society. She underlined the need for instituting a new system of fast tracking all cases that concern corruption by public servants, including politicians.

Rahul Gandhi feels that the "the bigger threat (to India) may be the growth of radicalized Hindu groups, which create religious tensions and political confrontations with the Muslim community". While comments from Congress Party leaders about internal threats from radical Hindu groups are not new. The candid disclosures to Americans of such critical observations about internal security also comes at a time when Pakistan continues its defense of terrorism as a state policy, articulated most recently by former military dictator Pervez Musharraf, who suggested that there will not be any roll-back of the policy unless the Kashmir issue is settled. India, with its vast Muslim community living side-by-side with Hindus, was having difficulty identifying the sources of radicalization, Narayanan is cited as explaining, adding that even Muslim leaders were confessing they were "losing control of their flock."

I am asking to Mr. Gandhi first, if he thinks that Hindu radicalism is more threat in India for communal harmony than what they are doing to resolve it. If 60% of population is threat for his own country than who are most community to suitable for this country’s communal harmony. If he is ok on his words than he is trying to play with sentiments Hindu community who are majority in this country if they don’t forget it so. If you are the top politician of country than you have license to speak anything about our people, I think so because there are lot of example recently have been set by our top politicians. Once speak and again sorry I taking back my words. I think they forget the proverb “Words from your mouths once out, that will never back”.

Migrate to Delhi

If our responsible person's like ministers or chief minister not able to handle the pressure they will always blame on migration, it doesn't matter who it is from Congress or BJP whether it is Sheila Dixit or P Chidambram. Mr. Chidambram has been forgotten that in all hospital's in India 80%+ nurses are coming from Kerala. Nobody blame on those people because they know they are doing good work. 1% of powerful rich people always blame on 60% + poor people of India and everybody knows who is responsible for that if those poor people work hard to made a successful event like CWG-2010 in Delhi than they are good now those people don't have the rights to live in Delhi or surroundings. This is not good. If people are migrating to Delhi from all part of India because of employment, if our government provide them a good employment in their home why they will migrate. If the people can't migrate and take up an opportunity in their own capital than what is the difference between Delhi and Jammu & Kashmir. In Delhi, almost everybody is an outsider. In 1934,the total population of the city was 3-4 lakh only and there were waves of people coming from other places that added to it. Be it the Punjabis from Pakistan or others from other parts of the country. It is true that criminals from NCR do commit crimes here and escape but it is patently wrong to insinuate that the daily wage earner is into crime. They have no time for it. They have to earn his daily wage.

It will better to provide them good environment to live-in rather than comment on their migration to hide our failures.

Happy Childrens Day

The go getter attitude and oodles of confidence dripping from their very persona is what defines the children of the new millennium. Highly informed and immaculately stylish, the kids on new block are all set to rule their surroundings. The younger lot is light years ahead with dreams set high and a vision for its nation. It is true that in terms of knowledge children of today are much more aware than what they used to be two decades ago. But that's the demand of the current times. We are in transition phase. Indian society is waking up to a new world order where it is slated to administer a greater role in world affairs. The new era belongs to those who are smart, intelligent, aware, ambitious, independent and focused as well. Children who are more aware of sensitive issues like global warming, human rights, career venues, technological advancements, political issues, than what my grand mom used to be. Evidently there is no stopping for this tech savvy, gizmo wielding gen-next.

Our children are not our children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They are our past and our future,a tribute to our ancestors and a legacy to future generations. Children are the vital resource of a nation. The collective futures of families, communities, nations and the world, lies in the hands of its children.Children are the foundation of Life itself. They are the stepping stones of creation. Their childhood is nine parts magic, one part dreams and fantasies. Children's Day celebrates "Childhood" in every corner of the world. Do not forget that children are not just little pets around the house. They are thinking, reasoning, intelligent human beings, and deserve the respect due to them. Those of us that have interacted with these little giants at our levels, and not made the mistake of under-estimating their minds, would have been delightfully surprised at their multi-hued personas. Their observation powers are outstanding, and far overtake even those of adults,at times.Children are far more articulate and expressive in their thoughts and emotions than adults.

No doubt,it is important for children to learn about the origins of Children's Day,but it is much more important to learn that the day is a reminder and recognition of the potential, responsibility and latent capabilities of our children, awaiting fulfillment of their destiny and thence of ours. It is our responsibility to cast the tender minds in our care into the tough, correct moulds, transcending the narrow confines of selfishness, discrimination, possessiveness, hatred, intolerance and grasping. We need to pay tribute to this day by pledging to mould these little adults to become self-reliant responsible, honest citizens of tomorrow. Children carry the world of tomorrow on their shoulders. Let us bear witness to this truth and join hands with them to make the world of tomorrow a beautiful one.

They move seamlessly between reality and virtual reality. The digital landscape they inhabit comprises generations not of family but of technology such as Web 2.0, 3G, PS4 and iPhone5. Their world has moved beyond their neighbourhood, school and childhood friends to encompass a 500-channel television universe, the global gaming village, the endless internet. These are the children born in the last decade and half possibly the first generation that has never known a world without hi-tech. These tweens and teens were born with dial-up internet, learnt to crawl alongside the PC and practiced writing the alphabet on the desktop. To them,a world without keypads, joysticks, digicams, headphones and LCD is unimaginable. For them, the Dark Ages are the time when television was black and white.

It is we,the users, who make the decisions on our usage of it and what we can do with it. Children as young as two are also getting introduced to books. Is exposure to books at much younger ages necessarily bad we believes that young users of technology are exactly like the generations that went before only different. Each generation has used the technologies that they are most familiar with,in order to bring about change. He believes that the era of individualism seems to be ending and the future lies in networks and how we work, live and play within networked societies. Is the twitch speed or the rate at which networked children adapt to newer technologies the number every parent and school teacher needs to know Keeping pace may be the only way to stay connected with the networked generation.

A beginning,and hopefully,a good one. Happy Children's Day

Tennis stars threaten to pull out

The entire fracas that hit Indian tennis on its face on Friday seems to be all about bills. Players say they’ve submitted all bills since 2008 but AITA has feigned ignorance on the matter. And if these bills aren’t cleared in time, then the Indian team of Somdev Devvarman, Rohan Bopanna, Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi might well be missing from the tennis courts in Delhi during the CommonWealth Games. So if the people expending in crores in their pocket why not the players are paid in time. How we can expect that they will do much for us in their respective games. The same drama we have seen before the Hocky World Cup held on Delhi earlier this year. So we have to be feel same on this type of drama.

Here I have mix two story of today that how are netas insensitive against common people. In one side our sports person who give us reason to feel proud and another side our netas always give us reason to same on us.

CommonWealth Games or MakingWealth Games

August 5, 2010, at all news channel on prime time whether it is NewsPoint with Abhigyan Prakash or NewsHour with Arnab Goswami or India@9 with Rajdeep Sardesai or NewsMaker with Barkha Dutta, all big guns from the TV journalism are debating on whether Kalmadi should or shacked by the government for heading of Organizing Committee(OC) of CommonWealth Games(CWG). Every news channel taking his credit that we have exposed the deal between Australian media promotion company SMAM and AM Films from UK or deal between DDA officials and Delhi Government or deal between two big medical equipment company and Delhi Government or deal between the OC and supplier of popular daily using things for sports persons (like umbrella, treadmills, liquid soap dispensers) or deal between OC and Anil Khanna’s son for supplying turf to RK Khanna Stadium, prior the sports person have already complaint about the quality of turf. What we are going to show the world that how much we are corrupt that we cannot even leave the sport to make money for ourselves.

I believe that if my team member is not capable or doing the things whatever he has been assigned, we have to track those people to making big mistakes or not good for delivering the project on time. We cannot track it on last moment when we have to deliver our project. We have to ensure that our project should deliver on time as a team leader. And I believe that CWG as project has been bid by India 8 yrs before and Mr Kalmadi has been started working on 5 yrs back. So if London is hosting Olympic in 2012 are ready to host that so why not we are ready to host CWG-2010 just less than two months before the games. So I carry the total responsibility is for Mr Kalmadi that’s why in my opinion Mr Kalmadi should sacked by Indian Government and there are lot of people who will think that this is not the right time to sacked him but there are lot of people in government or outside government who can tackle this situation and no more we can carry these type of corruption each and every area of Organization.

But the following questions are making big:

  1. Should Mr Kalmadi leave his position on the ground of taking moral responsibility as a chief of OC of CWG for not preparing Delhi before the games?

  2. Will the news channel make this corruption as big debate after CWG in October 2010 or they leave as they have leave IPL-3 scam on Mr Lalit Modi?

  3. Will Government ask the OC to submit all paper on money has been spending in Delhi on the name of CWG 2010?

  4. Will Government give the statement over this issue to people of Delhi or India, because Delhi people have been most affected by this?

  5. Why not our PM Mr. Manmohan Singh lead the same team, because some time Team Leader is not capable to handling this type of big event?

  6. How many years after the games will Delhi people will pay off this money?

  7. Is our country ready for hosting these types of games?

To be Father…

Thank God! 18th June, I become a dad of little angel. I was very happy on that time, before that I was in so much tension that I cannot try to memorize again. So I can feel that how could be painful for my wife. Before that day I always being kid for my parents and in future I will be, but after that my opinion has been changed that now I will have to be responsible for my kid about all kind of happenings in her life.

When I got my angel on my lap, the feeling was amazing. I cannot explain in words. So now I can say that why the kid is always kid for their parents and so much valuable assets for them. They never try to let them down in any case. They always want them happy.

Now, I am a father. It looks like such a simple sentence. But my new role is actually profound; once I am a father, I can never be “not-a-father” anymore. By becoming a father, I’ve embarked on an amazing and fulfilling journey, powerful from the moment of birth. The day I have seen my newborn, it was exciting and overwhelming. Each father-child bond is unique and continually evolving.

No one has ever been as completely dependent on me as this baby. It feels wonderful to be so needed, but also a bit scary.

I didn’t have to father the same way my father or grandfather did. I can be my own kind of Dad. That opportunity is liberating and exciting, but can also be disconcerting. From the moment of when I have taken her on my lap, I and my baby can instinctively communicate with each other, even though it’ll be a year or more before she uses words.

The key is to father from the heart.”

Thank God again to give me such a wonderful gift in my life.

Murli@800 Test Wicket

Spin genius Muttiah Muralitharan brought down the curtains on his Test career in a blaze of glory by becoming the first cricketer to scalp 800 wickets. All eyes were on Muralitharan as the crowd and his team-mates expected him to reach the 800-wicket mark quickly but the off-spinner could add just one more scalp to take his tally to 799 till the lunch break. Ojha joined the action after Laxman's dismissal and with Ishant he frustrated the hosts for another 15 overs. But ultimately Murli gets the rid of Ojha as last and 800th wicket of his cricketing career.

Muralitharan made his Test debut in 1992 against Australia in Colombo and has since taken 22, 10-wicket hauls. He has taken five wickets in a Test innings on a record 67 occasions. Muralitharan's 18-year career was marred by controversy due to his bent-arm action -- the result of an elbow deformity since birth -- which helped him impart considerable turn and bounce even on the most placid wickets.

The unusual action sparked uproar in the cricket world, especially in Australia where umpires no-balled him for throwing and former Prime Minister John Howard once called him a "chucker". Muralitharan's action first came under the microscope when Australian umpire Darrel Hair called him for throwing during Sri Lanka's tour Down Under in 1995-96. He was called again during a later tour of Australia in 1998-99 but was subsequently cleared after further tests. But the International Cricket Council, which carried out bio-mechanical tests on the bowler, cleared him of a suspect action.

Affectionately known as Murali, the off-spinner is the most successful bowler in history with record hauls in both Test (800) and one-day (515) cricket. There is no-one has to follow him by no. of wickets in test in active cricket. In active cricket the three are near about to Murli you can say are Ntini(SA-390),Harbhajan(IND-355),Vettori(NZ-325). If you will see the number than you can understand how far behind they are from Murli's number of wickets. We were lucky to see the all three great spinner in our era to play Mr. Warne, Mr. Kumble.

One of greatest cricket person has been retired from longer version of cricket, we will miss you on the field Mr Great Spinner in cricketing history. Great Murli-Great cricketer-Great retirement. Best of luck for future.

Creative Tension and Time

Whenever we do any creative work, the tension in this process is a creative tension, not a destructive tension. Such tension does not adversely affect our health. There is no era in human history when man has remained free from tension. We should not fear tension unless it eats our heart. The truth is that creative tensions produce energy from us. After all our body needs right blood pressure from circulation.

This much blood pressure is necessary. We have to take tension in this manner only. Without tension our energy cannot raise heights. Work is very necessary for us, very necessary. If there were no work or if we could not complete a work, it will cause us more tension than caused by workload. We should not to be afraid of tension. We should to learn to handle it. A task can be completed by doing not by thinking.

Often it happens that whenever we start paying attention to our health, our minds regards it as wastage of time, we think that the time we are giving for our morning walk or exercise or yoga is being wasted and we can do something worth while during this period. One who does not care about his health, is bound to fall sick at regular intervals. If a person at more than his capacity and capability, he will certainly fall ill. This is the law of nature and nobody can suspend it. A beautiful Arabic saying, “One, who has health, has hope and one, who has hope, has everything”.

The culture we live in is fast and it is getting faster every passing year. Most of our achievements are evaluated on the basis of speed. The basis of evaluation today is ‘what is the speed, without even caring about consequences.

Speed is necessary, but this speed should not exceed the limits. Every work has a certain speed by which it should be done, and we should not exceed that speed. Our speed should not be more than the required speed, nor be less. Speed should not be related to financial gains, but to human values. But today’s speed is beyond both.

We become victims of speed and we lose our mental peace. We make our nervous system week. We become confused due to rashness. We are not content to get all the things but we want them instantly. Remember that this rashness becomes a significant reason of the wastage of our time.

Spain clinch first World Cup Victory

Spain's place among world football's all-time greatest teams was assured Sunday when Andres Iniesta scored with four minutes of extra time remaining to beat the Netherlands 1-0 and clinch his country's first World Cup.
With the teams facing a penalty shootout after an often ill-tempered game of few clear chances, Iniesta collected a sliding pass into the area from substitute Cesc Fabregas and smashed the ball across goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg and in at the far post.
The goal clinched Spain's fourth straight 1-0 victory in South Africa and made the team only the third to be world and European champion at the same time. At the final whistle, the Spanish players hurried to swap their blue shirts for their more familiar red colors in time to collect the trophy. They donned shirts decorated with a single gold star to mark their triumph, becoming the eighth nation to receive the honor in the tournament's 80-year history.
The Dutch players trudged forlornly to collect their runners-up medals, the third squad from the Netherlands to finish second in football's biggest game. It was a less-than-classic performance by Spain and both teams created few clear chances at Soccer City, although the game opened up slightly after a cagey opening hour. The Netherlands broke up Spain's attempts to get its famous passing game going with physical play that brought nine yellow cards. Defender John Heitinga got his second yellow and was sent off in the 19th minute of extra time to become only the fifth man to get a World Cup final red card.
With Spain also collecting five yellows, the total beat the 1986 record of six between Argentina and West Germany and made it the dirtiest World Cup final of all time. Extra time was littered with almost as many chances as normal time. Stekelenburg saved a low shot by Fabregas before Robben was blocked and defender Joris Mathijsen headed over at the other end. With Wesley Sneijder crowded out and Spain striker David Villa continually forced wide in search of possession, Robben looked the most likely player to put the finishing touch to his team's uncompromisingly physical approach. The winger broke free in the 62nd minute but his low shot to the far post was brilliantly kept out with the toe of Casillas' right boot. He was clear again with seven minutes of normal time remaining, collecting Robin van Persie's flick from Nigel de Jong's hopeful punt forward. Robben held off Carles Puyol's attempts to wrestle him to the ground and tried to take the ball across Casillas, only for the goalkeeper to gather it at the forward's feet.
Villa and Sneijder had few chances to add to their five tournament goals, the latter unable to find his range with free kicks and most notable for the sliding pass between Spain's central defenders that set Robben free in the 62nd. Villa went closest in the 70th when Stekelenburg somehow knocked his close-range finish over the bar, shortly before Sergio Ramos headed over the bar while unmarked. Villa, Sneijder, Uruguay striker Diego Forlan and Germany forward Thomas Mueller tied at the top of the tournament scoring charts with five goals from seven matches. Mueller took the golden boot for the leading scorer, winning because of the number of assists he provided.
The Netherlands' physical approach only began after its attempt to defend deep in the opening exchanges allowed Spain 60 percent of possession and gave away chances. Stekelenburg had to dive at full stretch to keep out a header by Ramos, and Villa broke free of the defense only for the Netherlands to be saved by a narrow offside call. The Dutch responded by pressing hard whichever Spanish player happened to be in possession, heralding a spell of five yellow cards - three of them for the Netherlands - in 14 minutes. De Jong was lucky not to get a red card when he slammed his boot into Xabi Alonso's chest. But one incident showed the Dutch fouls were perhaps down to surplus passion rather than a premeditated mean streak.
Casillas threw the ball upfield and out to allow Puyol to receive treatment after a heavy fall. In keeping with sporting convention, the Netherlands attempted to return possession to the Spanish but the punt back to Casillas deflected up off the turf and forced the goalkeeper to tip it behind for a corner. Not a single Netherlands player went forward for the corner kick and Van Persie just rolled it along the ground for Casillas to pick up.

Asia Cup wins in Dambula

India's pace battery led by Ashish Nehra demolished Sri Lanka to help their team win the Asia Cup with a comfortable 81-run win on Thursday. Dinesh Karthik top-scored with 66 as India made 268-6 after electing to bat in the day-night final, before the defending champions and hosts were shot out for 187. India, who last won the region's premier one-day prize in 1994, denied Sri Lanka a hat-trick of titles following their victories in 2004 and 2008. Nehra claimed four wickets, including two in one over, as Sri Lanka were reduced to 51-5 by the 16th over before being bundled out in the 45th over. India never looked back after hard-hitting opener Tillakaratne Dilshan was dismissed off the fifth delivery, holing out to mid-on off seamer Praveen Kumar. Kumar, who made use of windy conditions to swing the ball, bowled an unchanged opening spell of nine overs in which he conceded just 29 runs. Fellow seamer Zaheer Khan bowled Upul Tharanga, before Nehra wrecked havoc by having Mahela Jayawardene and Angelo Mathews caught behind in the 14th over.

Nehra also removed Sri Lankan captain Kumar Sangakkara for 17, but Thilina Kandamby (31) and Chamara Kapugedera (55 not out) delayed the end. Nehra's 4-40 was supported by Zaheer's 2-36 and left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja's 2-29. Karthik, who replaced the injured Virender Sehwag, hit nine boundaries to lead India's batting at the Rangiri stadium in Dambulla. Karthik put on 62 for the second wicket with Virat Kohli (28) and 46 for the third with skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (38).Rohit Sharma propped up with the middle-order with a fluent 41, before Jadeja boosted the score with an unbeaten 25.

Congrats! Team India..........Thumbs Up for all the men in blue. This win is very valuable in respect of coming world cup will be held in Asian Sub-continent.

Defending Champion Italy crash out of World Cup in first round

Finally, perhaps even mercifully, this rusted hulk of a team was towed away from the World Cup on Thursday, its battery dead, tires flat, windows smashed after a 3-2 loss to Slovakia, which was playing in its first World Cup.While Slovakia advanced, Italy, the defending champion and a four-time winner, exited after group play for the first time since 1974, having steered far off its intended course.A tie would have sent Italy to the second round, but even that remained elusive for a team that seemed aimless until late in the second half. Slovakia played more urgently, controlling much of the game, receiving two goals from forward Robert Vittek and refusing to be awed by Italy’s reputation. The most extraordinary act that Italy performed in this hapless World Cup was Thursday’s postgame soliloquy by its coach, Marcello Lippi, who retired after the match.

There will be much discussion about what went wrong. Many have criticized Lippi for relying on aging players, like defender Fabio Cannavaro, 36, and midfielder Gennaro Gattuso, 32, who both showed their years against Slovakia. The forwards he favored, like Alberto Gilardino, did not deliver here. And perhaps Lippi was too stubborn and loyal to call earlier on a reserve like Fabio Quagliarella, who played inspired on Thursday in the second half but was unable to lift his team fully from its torpor. Injuries did not help. Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, one of the best in the world, left Italy’s opening match and was told he had a herniated disk in his back. The playmaker Andrea Pirlo injured a calf muscle before the World Cup began and did not appear until the 56th minute on Thursday. It did not help, either, that creative players like Francesco Totti and Alessandro Del Piero had retired from the national team.

Mexico upset France

Mexico went ahead in the 64th minute when Hernandez ran onto Rafael Marquez's pass and rounded goalkeeper Hugo Lloris before guiding the ball home. Hernandez's grandfather, Tomas Balcazar, scored for Mexico against France in the 1954 World Cup, although that was a consolation goal.

Blanco converted a penalty in the 79th after Eric Abidal fouled Pablo Barrera, who came on for the injured Carlos Vela in the first half.

Mexico is now level on points with Uruguay, both with four. They play each other in the final group game knowing a draw will be enough for both to advance. France and South Africa both have one point, leaving both needing a win in their match while hoping for a result in the other game.

Mexico could have scored more against a French defense which looked shaky, with Abidal caught out of position on both goals. Abidal is normally a left back but Domenech picked him at center half alongside William Gallas.

Sidney Govou's inclusion was a surprise to many observers after his poor performance against Mexico, but Domenech kept him on the right wing. Govou gave right back Bacary Sagna little protection, however, and Mexico soon figured out that pushing Salcido higher up the field was a dangerous option.

Brazil beats North Korea

Brazil escaped with a hard-fought victory in the Group G match after struggling to get past the defensive setup of the North Koreans, who are making their first World Cup appearance in 44 years and, at No. 105, arrived as the tournament's lowest-ranked team.

Maicon scored at Ellis Park after a through ball from midfielder Elano in the 55th minute. Brazil controlled possession from the start but struggled to break through the Korean lineup with five men at the back. Robinho was about the only Brazilian able to create some dangerous opportunities.

Robinho had his own chance with a long-range shot that missed the target in the seventh and with a quick strike from inside the penalty area that was saved by Ri in the 20th. Robinho cleared a defender again inside the area in the 34th and set up Michel Bastos' shot that missed over the crossbar.

Brazil continued to dominate in the second half but still without enough poise to break through the Korean defense.

Brazil has won all of its opening matches since a 1-1 draw with Sweden in the 1978 World Cup in Argentina. The five-time champions begin the World Cup with a revamped squad following the disappointing elimination in the quarterfinals of the 2006 World Cup in Germany. Dunga left out stars such as Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and Adriano and preferred lesser-known players known for their discipline and hard work.

North Korea is hoping to repeat its heroic campaign from the 1966 tournament in England, when it produced a surprising win over Italy to reach the quarterfinals. The Koreans arrived as most mysterious team in the tournament, with opponents having a hard time finding information about the team playing for the reclusive communist state.

Cheer up, India are in semis!

India have gone through to the semifinals of the Women’s World Twenty20 and will face Australia in the last four at the Beausejour Stadium here on Thursday. Meanwhile, New Zealand, last year’s losing finalists, will be up against hosts West Indies in the second semifinal at the same venue on Friday after champions England failed to make the grade. There was also a good news for indian sports in chess that v. Anand again become the world chess champion 4th time after beating russian grandmaster veselin Topalov.

Congratulations Anand. There is no doubt remaining now that Anand has been the greatest sportsperson that India has produced. There may have  been world champions in other games but no one has remained at the top  consistently for more than a decade. My mood was down since India were  eliminated in T20 Cricket this morning but now I am once again upbeat.

                        Thanks to Anand's great achievement.

India @ ICC T20 World Cup 2010

Loosing with Australia was disappointing for me because they have not beaten by our team's lot of mistakes. They have not learned from the mistakes have been done from their previous games. If you have play
7 batsman in a game then you think that your strength is focussed on
batting side, but our captain cool taken the field first after winning
toss. Why, is this the strategy to save the batsman to save from short
pitch bouncer in the morning. In west-indies every team knows that pitch
of west indies always support for fast bowlers but our captain cool
always comes in mind frame that our climate and west-indian climate are
same. I agree with him but on the cricket field pitch always do the different
equation. If you have taken to field first than why you have to try
raina as well when your harbhajan, yusuf and yuvraj is doing well.
I never trust on Rohit Sharma as a match winner. Every people will say after watching last night game that if he will supported by another batsman than he could make it. But I am sure he is not a big game player and I have never seen him to win the game for india. He will do always like Rahul Dravid. But there is much difference between Rahul and Rohit,
Rahul never win a fatafat game for you but he will never let his hope
down. One more difference between Rahul and Rohit, Rahul never gives
the batting chances your 11th number batsman but Rohit always do the
same thing like VVS Laxman. Rohit and VVS Laxman never try to batting
themself at the end. Why Rohit handed the batting end to Zaheer and Nehra?
Is Zaheer and Nehra better than him to bat on the pitch like Bar-Bados
against Australian pace attack like Nannes ,Tait and Johnson.

News Point@NDTV (23rd March 2010)

Question: Should Delihites pay for Commonwealth Games 2010?

This question arise by Abhigyan Prakash on News Point@NDTV on 23rd March 2010 and very next morning when Delhi Govt. has been floored the State Budget 2010-2011 in Delhi Legislative Assembly. If looked the budget at lightly way than anybody can understand the budget is not for General People. All necessarily goods has been increased by VAT for example Diesel, LPG, CNG, Cold Drinks, Tea, Cofee, Desi Ghee, Dry Fruits, Household Plasic  Goods, Utensils, Cutlery, Locks, Furniture, Wire & Metal mesh, Glucose D, Kerosene Stoves, Lanterns, Petromax & their  spares. I have mentioned those items which effect the pocket of Genral People and these are necessity of general people. But after looking extensively on budget this will not  constraint on selected items. If diesel prices will hike than lot of grocery item's price  will automatically increase because of transportation charge will increase as well.

In last two-three days Honourable CM said that you are always asking about price hike but not talking about salary hikes. How many people are working on salary basis or doing some job.  Suppose if the salaried people gets hike than our CM should also know the last year's recession and

how many people lost their job as well, but if among them some of survived well than how much they get hike in their salary. Current year is also not going well for unorganised sector as well.

Our honourable CM is saying if we should live in world class city than we have to pay for that. Is Delhi is world class City? I don't think our CM don't know what is the definition and what are the basic amenaties are mandatory for world class city. Is our CM is talking about Lutien's Delhi than I don't think it will pass the basic criteria for being a world class  city. Just look some the place and think twice and thrice over that Delhi is world class City or not for example: Trilokpuri, Kalyanpuri, Mangolpuri, KarawalNagar, NandNagri, InderPuri, Babarpur Khajuri, Bhajanpura, Nathupura, Burari, Sonia Vihar,  Jhilmil, Vikas Nagar, Palam Colony etc can say the status of world class City. If you are talking about Delhi than it is not all about Lutien's Delhi, it is all about including the places mentioned above as well. So you have take care about all the places the same eye. One more than thing that is strange that honourable finance minister of Delhi is also coming from East Delhi, Where the most of general people are living. If we have not forgetten about the CM's prior statement that East Delhi is  bad portion of Delhi's world class map. And finance minister nothing has to do, because they don't know how the money is coming from in common man's pocket. They say that they will review the VAT. But one thing nobody knows that this is the govt. policy that increase the price and roll-back of least of percentage. But ultimately the govt will be in profit for example if any item's VAT has been increased from 5% to 12.5% than if they will roll back by 2.5% than what will happen the govt is in 5% profit. So this is the logic to be in NewsPaper and also said to be that they are thinking about the common people.

At the end of this point, I can ask the question that suggest from your side that what will be the best budget for common people. I am not the people who can do that there are lot of people who are doing this better. So they will have to know that by you people.

Story of Bad Storage-Govt of India

I was watching the "Badintazami Ki Kahani" @ NDTV. So we can say
it is total failure of Our Central Govt. to manage the food grains are available
at govt's store. It is millions of matric tonnes of wheat in govt store since 2008 and it is going to wastage the grains and in open market it going to price hike again and again. And one more worst thing is coming season of wheat is going to give us a better crops than last year as well. So if the the grain of 2008 is wasting than where should the govt will keep the newer one. Will the price be hike again and who will pay for this again "The Common Man - A common man of  RK Laxman, who always see the things never will open his mouth and nothing he will say again".

IPL Opening Night

I was watching the IPL-3 Opening Night Celebration on MTV last night. It was amazing and also seen that how people are amazed to see Sachin Tendulkar in front of. I was also excited that I am watching first time off the field on stage to say something to the crowd. It was great occasion that Sachin has been chosen brand ambassador of United Nation's Environmental program. It has been also tied up with IPL-3. It is also the second person in India who become the brand ambassador for UN's program and First one was Nobel Peace winner Mother Teressa.

I am totally agree with Sachin Tendulkar that we can change a little bit in our life than it can great impact on our society as well as our environment.  Take an example : When we support Earth Hour on 27th March 8:30PM to 9:30PM. So how much energy we can save for our planet no body knows. Please Act Now! Even you can change the planet to doing such a little thing in your life. It is a request to all the people from our country Act Now and stop blaming to Govt. Another example of the little work around Greenathon from NDTV for lighting the villages from solar power. I salute NDTV to bring such a wonderful programme to show the people that if you can start from small thing it can be very big if you have some good faith on you and yourself.

So try to make thing as little as you can so it will motivate you and your's circle to keep burning towards the responsibility of our society.

Idea-Cup2010,Dhaka-Bangladesh,India,Sri-Lanka

MS Dhoni lashed out at the reckless shot selection of his batting colleagues and felt the ill-timed injury to paceman Ashish Nehra also dented their chances in the tri-nation final against Sri Lanka here on Wednesday. Put into bat, the Indian batsmen — barring Suresh Raina (106) and Ravindra Jadeja (38) and Virender Sehwag (42) — let the side down with their questionable shot selection and Dhoni did not even try to hide his anger.
“I don’t think the shot selection of our batsmen was great. Thanks to Suresh and Ravindra, we made it a contest but the batsmen should have been more careful,” a disgruntled Dhoni said after the match. “You just cannot go out and go with the momentum of the series. We played this tournament on pitches where scoring wasn’t an issue. But today there was quite bounce in it and we should have been careful which we were not,” added the Indian skipper. His opposite number Kumar Sangakkara, adjudged Man of the Series, said he could not make any complaint. “I always says that we have a number of match-winners in Dilshan, Tharanga and Mahela. We got a good start today and then Mahela finished it brilliantly. Both the opening bowlers (Nuwan Kulasekhara and Chanaka Welegedara) gave us early wickets and even though we could have been tighter in the middle overs, it was a great show in the end,” Sangakkara said. “It was great how the youngsters came to the party and gelled with the seniors. Taken from TOI
My Comment : India were undone by a combination of poor shot selection and Sri Lanka’s disciplined pace bowling, losing wickets at regular intervals. If we see the first five wicket of indian innings, how it fallen, then anybody will say that the era comes again that "Tu chal main aaya." and era of spoon making has been started again. Kohli, Yuvraj,Dhoni,Sehwag had been given a catch wicket behind. Dhoni did not even try to hide his anger and he said above that poor shot selection of his batsman was not good what he will say about himself. Dhoni's selection of eleven was not good because we have seen the matches in recent times : Yuvraj singh is always looks tired. Sehwag is always in hurry.Zaheer is also not doing well. Harbhajan singh is not the person who can lead the spin department at all. We have seen amit mishra has been taken three wickets in last league match against bangladesh and also karthik played good knock in couples of game he played in this tri-series. Tyagi has been also bowled very well in last game but he didn't make in eleven for the spot of Sreshanth. So I think Dhoni should open his eyes and make the eleven quite intellegently not to believe on super-stitious, only believe on good performance if he wants to make his team become a no 1 in one-dayer or make the countable performance in coming world cup. But if we can think that positive comes out from this tri-series was Kohli,R Jadeja,Raina showed himself again that big guns will not always comes in front to make you out of disaster. And one more thing they have proved that they are really a chuck-er when count it big.

Happiness Forever

Don’t worry, be Happy! What a refreshing thought, indeed! Celebrations everyday! Life can be so joyful if we learn to celebrate even the smallest moments and events. Celebrate when someone says you are looking great or may be because your toddler called you ma for the first time. Always remember that it is the small acts of day-to- day life that count. And more important, that happiness is not as elusive as you think.
This year give wings to your imagination. Do the things you have always wanted to even if it means you must go out of your way to convince friends and family that you are choosing to settle for the odd and the unconventional. Remember, it’s not about what others think of you, but what you think of yourself. If it makes you happy, it’s gotta be right. Let every single moment be a celebration. Attract happiness do not allow anything dampen your spirits, it is really a matter of how you choose to be staying happy needs the determination to seek and chase it until it surrenders itself to you. After all, happiness is a state of mind where you can be what you care without bothering about what others think of you. All you need to do is change your outlook towards life.
Happiness is about being content in your personal and professional relationships. The best way is to get realistic targets for yourself and try your best variables. We become vulnerable to unhappiness. Smaller expectations make you happy. Ambitions should be set keeping in mind your ability. Be flexible and lower your expectations of necessary. You must be able to choose happiness over everything else. But how do we choose happiness? More than happiness. It’s the source of happiness which is important. Also you have to be able to distinguish between happiness and pleasure. Short-term gains often lead to long term unhappiness. We have to the clear about what we won’t.
It’s of to you to remain happy or stay in a state of gloom. The new year is the perfect time to tell yourself that you will be happy. It happiness forgets you a letter bit, never completely forget about it.

Happy New Year-2010

Happy New Year 2010!
I May bring no tear to any eye
When this New Year in time shall end
Let it be said I've played the friend,
Have lived and loved and labored here,
And made of it a happy year.

Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the relationships;
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true!

When the New Year 2010 bell rings...
Let it signify new and better things for you,
let it signify a realisation of all things you wish for,
Let it signify a year of courage and believes,
Wishing you a very...very prosperous 2010 year ahead.
