Happy New Year - 2009

My Happy New Year wish for all of you

Is for your best year yet,

A year where life is peaceful,

And what you want, you get.

A year in which you cherish

The past year’s memories,

And live your life each new day

Full of bright expectancies.

Let us all gather round and cheer,

With a drink of wine or an ice cold beer

I'd say that this is a great place to be,

It all depends on how we can see.

True we've had bad things in the past,

But we know in our hearts that these will not last.

If we try our best to be simple and pure,

There's nothing our hopes and dreams cannot cure.

So, I don't know the value this is worth,

But lets all try to be happy and heal Mother Earth!

Welcome! Happy New Year - 2009

Happy New Year 2009 - I

HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2009!

New Year is the time to bid farewell to the old year and welcome the coming year. It is the time to forget and get past memories that are no longer useful or worth pondering upon. It is the time for new beginnings and new starts in life. New Year has a message for each one of us. One should let go of the past that has bad memories and accept what has happened, has happened for some reason. Instead of clinging onto your past and things that have gone, it is better to let go.

A wishful way to greet people as the New Year begins. Slowly and steadily Year 2008 is creating space for year 2009 to step in. People are ready to cherish the memories of 2008, learn from their mistakes and make resolutions of not repeating them in the coming year. Beginning of the New Year is the perfect time to send New Year wishes to one and all and bless them with good health, wealth and prosperity. New Year wishes start getting circulated amongst friends and family a week before the New Years Eve and continues till the initial few weeks after New Years Day.

Sending New Year wishes to all the people who were scattered in different geographical regions was such a daunting task. However, with the advent of technology it’s far easier both in terms of time and money to send greetings to people around you. Now sending a New Year wish is just a matter of few seconds and can be sent at the click of a mouse. Internet users are increasing with every passing second so much so that now Internet can be found in each and every household.

There is an old saying that goes, "Don't cry because it is over, and smile because it happened". This essentially means that there is no use crying over spilt milk. You cannot turn back time and do things that would benefit you. Accept that some days you are the pigeon and some days you are the statue. New year is the time of new beginnings. It is time to start afresh and do things that would make someone else smile. Make a pledge to make at least one person happy. You will see the difference it can make in both your lives. The essential message of New Year is let go off the past and embrace life as it comes to you. You will be happier and merrier that way.

So this year as soon as the clock strikes 12 in the midnight on the 31st December, take this opportunity to wish people near you with a warm hug and pleasantry wishes. And for those physically far away from you, yet close to your hearts.

My Happy New Year wish for all of you

Is for your best year yet,

A year where life is peaceful,

And what you want, you get.

A year in which you cherish

The past year’s memories,

And live your life each new day

Full of bright expectancies.

Let us all gather round and cheer,

With a drink of wine or an ice cold beer

I'd say that this is a great place to be,

It all depends on how we can see.

True we've had bad things in the past,

But we know in our hearts that these will not last.

If we try our best to be simple and pure,

There's nothing our hopes and dreams cannot cure.

So, I don't know the value this is worth,

But lets all try to be happy and heal Mother Earth!

Welcome! Happy New Year - 2009

Friday 5 December 2008

What should we do?

Something cracked inside all of us on the 26th of November 2008. Rage that we have repeatedly been betrayed by a system that is meant to guarantee the physical security of every Indian. In the last few years, it has been apparent that no place is safe any longer...places of worship, markets, even hospitals, now hotels: the terrorist has struck with increasing audacity. Rich and poor, Hindu and Muslim, north Indian and south Indian, no one has been spared. With every attack, there is debate, there are platitudes, there is hand-wringing. What the Indian citizen is looking for is action and answers, action that is constructive and will make it that much more difficult for the merchants of terror to operate. Then whether it be Malegaon or Mumbai, Ajmer or Ahmedabad, there is a need for unity of purpose. Terror is a national challenge, not a partisan project .We feel it is necessary to use the power of the media and take the initiative to involve citizens in the search for answers. We are angry, but let this not be impotent rage for once. Let's act now, before it is too late. Become a citizen against terror.

People forget. It is in our nature. Years later, the details get fuzzy, the sequences get mixed-up and re-imagining the horror does not evoke the same sharp feelings of grief and anger. We move on. That is human nature. But moving on this time round isn’t going to be easy. The brutality of the Mumbai attacks has left us, above all, deeply vulnerable. It has exposed the rottenness in our system; our intelligence agencies, our police force, our political leaders and even our media. And that is why the appropriate response to this terror attack isn’t sadness or outrage. We need to secure our country. And we need to do it now. As a nation, we are sensing this – just look at the endless candle vigils, the large shows of solidarity and the signing of various petitions. But we need to do more. We need to rise over the ineptitude of our system and fix lasting solutions. Only when each of us applies ourselves, will solutions flow – and transformation begin. We need to make sure that the kind of terror that November 26th brought into our homes and our lives must not ever be repeated. Only then would we have truly moved on.

Action has to be taken immediately if we are to prevent such further atrocities. The Police Force must be strengthened and taught to handle more sophisticated weapons. The police profession must be made lucrative so that more people can join in. NSG centres must be set up in all the major cities like Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. Precious lives could have been saved if the NSG had not taken so long to arrive. Also a federal agency to deal with terror must be set up that is free of bureaucracy of our government and must be headed by the army or the intelligence. The coast guard must be strengthened and strong security must be given to public and vulnerable places like railway stations and markets.

If we stop terrorism in future, we need extra awareness about terrorism. So governing body of India will create a Separate Ministry Like Anti terrorism ministry and the new security Task force which has announced By PM will be the part of that ministry. But the minister and other members should have some qualification others than our existing Politicians for example the cabinet minister should have some military experience.

I feel our constitution and political system is responsible. We have allowed politicians to use this democracy to their advantage. We should have following agenda 1. At a country level, candidates should be elected for the post of prime minister. I mean we should not have party base system. If you want to become prime minister then let people of this country decide whether you deserve to be prime minister or not. Same procedure should be applicable for other important portfolios like home, defence and at state level also. Lets elect people above party lines to run this country. We should have eligibility criteria for politician. What I understand today politics is a profession it’s not a social service. In a profession there are certain criteria. We can't allow people like rabri devi or rahul gandhi just because she is a wife and he is son of politicians to run this country. You should have something, which allows us to accept you. Do something great at the root level. You can become chief minister only if you are eligible in terms of criteria- like education, age. A person who has police record can't apply for central /state govt job, similarly a politician (profession) can't apply if he has police record. If you are given an opportunity to run this country for a period and you fail to do (you have to leave the position before your period) then you will not be eligible for any state benefits, which are given to statesmen. Since gratuity can't be paid before five years under the law. You should have interim report card system. We shall lay down agenda. We should ask candidates if you want to run this country then whether you can fulfill this agenda or not and what is the time frame. If you can't what will be penalty.

A very strict security system, like “HOMELAND SECURITY” in the US. Clarifying responsibilities across all levels of the government to upgrade our system and infrastructure that together constitute to our nations security. A disaster management system to assess the potential hazards, the after effects of a terrorist attack and to supply resources to all security forces and the intelligence bureau. A sense of preparedness needs to be developed among all levels of the society-including citizens, public and private. A security system that works on guidance, planning, strategy and management. Increase patrols varying in size, timing and routes. Track all malicious or threat calls. Take all the calls very seriously and record all the necessary information required pinning down the caller. To equip our army and the police with ammunitions to tackle professional terrorists like that of MUMBAI TERRORIST ATTACK. State police should be given training like that of the army, so that they can handle a terrorist attack in the absence of the army. Like we have seen the terrorists are using the sea route, so there should be constant patrolling by the navy and the coast guards. Layouts of all five star hotels, banks, heritage sites, government offices and corporate offices should be handed over to our security forces, the intelligence bureau and RAW. X-ray all packages prior to entry into any office or hotel. And inspect handbags of every single individual, which includes all the VIP’s as well. Engage local informants for more information on terrorist activities in their respective states and union territories. Ensuring adequate security forces like NSG and ARMY in all the states and union territories, to avoid delay. This is all about the ground defence. If we have an air attack. SAM (surface to air missile) installations should be put across all the major facilities across the country, SAM tracks down any hostile aircraft and its surface to air missile can bring down a target 100 kms away. And this should be sustained throughout the year. Car parked outside any major facility should provide all the documents to the concerned authorities. All illegally parked vehicles in and around facilities should be moved immediately. If possible get the car and its owner under custody.

One cannot always prevent disaster, but we can always plan ahead to mitigate its effect. Why should we single out this one man made act of disaster to be focus of our attention. Are the people who die in say Bihar floods less alive? The answer thus is being ready at all times. Govt should form a crisis management network for the whole country. Every district has a right to have one nerve center dedicated to this. It should comprise of a strategic planner, a doctor and a social worker.

To make investigation agencies as independent of the political system with their salaries being charged directly on the constitution of India just like the election commission. There should be a campaign popularizing the safety measures that should be taken while facing a terrorist attack. Security must be enhanced of strategically, historically, economically and culturally important places. Separate provisions for fighting terrorism should be made in the budge, fifthly a drive to clean up the slums and remove poverty should be carried out because generally these places can acts safe havens for the terrorists and also such people may more easily fall prey to any lures offered to them by the terrorists. Further, border security must be made more coordinated among the various wings of security agents also at international level there should be an effort to put jointed pressure on countries involved in terrorist activities.

While terrorism should be tackled by mind and heart i.e. diplomacy, intelligence, the terrorist needs to be tackled physically by arms. Protect our protectors i.e. Police, NSG, and other security agencies by equipping them with the best arms, bulletproof jackets and helmets. This should be the top priority, and dealt with immediately. Top class training for the entire civil security. Higher pay scales so they do not indulge in corruption. No political interference. Politician involved in defence, home security should be professionals either from police or armed forces. He/she (yes, why not could be a woman) or she should have direct access to prime minister, president and the chiefs of air, land, and sea forces. He/she should also undergo some kind of regular training so he / she understands the needs and upgrades the system. So definitely young and fit person.

War against Terror

It may surprise many to know that the problem of terrorism has persisted for nearly half the period of the life of independent India.
Since the closing years of the 1970s, India has been in the vortex of foreign-sponsored terrorism, which has claimed nearly 80,000 lives, both civilian, and of security forces -- in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, north-eastern states, and in the rest of India. There is no country in the world which has been a victim of terrorist onslaught for so long, and which has suffered such enormous loss.
If a menace has continued for so long, it means that its perpetrators have a definite purpose, a definite goal. If we correctly assessed right in the beginning that the goal of terrorists and their patrons abroad was not only to threaten the common man and the civil society, not just to create ordinary law and order disturbances, but to endanger the very unity and security of the nation. What is happening in India today?
History will not pardon us if we fail
In the history of nations, it is important to know what challenges they face. But it is far more important to know how they respond to these challenges. Nations oblivious to the threats that eat into their vitals run an imminent danger of losing their ability to protect themselves. The warning bells are loud and clear that, even though the nation's internal security today stands seriously threatened, our response lacks political will. India does not have a seamlessly integrated counter-terrorism strategy backed by resolute operational capabilities.
There is one more thing to be said about internal security challenges. These do not manifest suddenly, nor do they mature overnight. The ominous signals they send over a prolonged period of time can be noticed unmistakably. However, if we choose not to notice them, or are incapable of taking self-protective action, history will not absolve us.
In the last millennium, India suffered many a blow. In the last century, India suffered blood-soaked Partition on account of a pernicious ideology. Therefore, all political parties and all sections of our society should so conduct themselves that no evil power, external or internal, can set its eyes on destabilizing, debilitating and dividing India.
Terrorism: Invisible enemy's low-cost, asymmetrical war
For such strong protective force to emerge, it is necessary to know that in today's world, failure to protect internal security has emerged as the most potent threat to the unity and integrity of nations, to the stability of their polity and to the protection their constitutional values. In the post-World War period, failure to deal with internal security challenges, as opposed to foreign aggressions, has been responsible for the degradation of a large number of nation-states. Most States when confronted with serious internal threats thought it to be a passing phase and allowed the drift to reach a point where retrieval was no longer possible.
Quite often, the adversarial forces won not because of their own strength but because of the weaknesses and mistakes of the regimes that were hit. Thus, history has a big lesson for us and it would be tragic if we failed to learn from past mistakes, both of our own and of others.
An important lesson that we in India should learn -- this lesson is indeed globally relevant -- is that conventional wars are becoming increasingly cost-ineffective. As instruments of achieving political and strategic objectives, their outcome is unpredictable and, often, counter-productive. Hence, foreign aggressions today come disguised as proxy wars in the form of terrorism and other forms of violence. The enemy targets internal fault-lines for furthering his strategic and political objectives. Even less powerful nations are able to exercise this low-cost sustainable option, giving rise to the new doctrine of asymmetric warfare.
We can see this clearly from what both Pakistan and Bangladesh have been doing to us. Neither can match India's military strength. Yet, both have been threatening India with cross-border terrorism.
This warfare is waged by an invisible enemy, for whom the civil society is both a source of sustenance and the target. The enemy exploits the liberties, freedom, technological facilities and infrastructure to his advantage, making even the more powerful, better equipped security agencies feel helpless.
Maligning of security forces: A dangerous new trend
Maligning the security forces is often a deliberate ploy employed by the civil society supporters of terrorist outfits. Unfortunately, it sometimes influences the thinking of even well-meaning human rights activists. However, it should not be forgotten that our security forces work under extremely difficult circumstances. The rest of society can sleep peacefully only because of the diligent service rendered by our police, paramilitary and armed forces. I fully agree that innocent persons should not be harassed and penalized. But let us spare a thought for this question: What will happen to our society, to our nation, if the morale of our security forces is allowed to be weakened?
Stigmatising any faith in the fight against terror is wrong
Friends, no campaign of terrorism that has continued for so long can be without an ideological motive. Recognizing the anti-India ideological driving force behind terrorism, and evolving a proper nationalist ideological response to it, is critical to achieving long-term success. Here I would like to state two things emphatically. Firstly, no religion and no religious community can and should be blamed for the criminal acts of some individuals belonging to that community. Stigmatizing any community in the fight against terrorism is wrong, counter-productive, and must be condemned.
At the same time, it is equally important to recognize that religious extremism of a certain kind provides the ideological fervor and outward justification for terrorism and separatism. After all, religion was indeed misinterpreted and misused to construct the two-nation theory, which had disastrous consequences for India, for both Hindus and Muslims. The ideology behind the ongoing war of terrorism against India is a continuation of the separatist ideology that created Pakistan. Which is why, the anti-India forces in Pakistan have sponsored cross-border terrorism as a deliberate policy to achieve Kashmir's secession from India, and also to weaken India in many different ways.
In recent years, an important new experiment has been introduced into this policy of cross-border terrorism. A section of Indian youth, misguided and exploited by their mentors abroad and radicalized by an interpretation of Islam that is propagated by Al Qaeda, have been inveigled into the vortex of terrorism. SIMI and Indian Mujahideen have emerged as the face of indigenised terror. Their literature speaks volumes about their aversion for the very idea of a secular, plural and democratic India, and also about their resolve to destroy India, as we know it.
TADA, POTA or Nothing
Without TADA, some of the culprits in Rajiv Gandhi's murder case could not have been chargesheeted. TADA had already ceased to exist.
One of the first acts of the UPA government in 2004 was to repeal POTA. As a matter of fact, the war against. The government's weak-kneed approach, as was inevitable, proved fatal in course of time. It not only emboldened the extremists groups, but also brought down the efficacy of country's security apparatus.
POTA remained in existence from September 2001 till December 2004. During this period, only eight incidents of terrorist violence, including the attack on Parliament and on Akshardham temple in Gandhingar, took place in India's hinterland, leading to 119 deaths. Contrast it with what happened after POTA was repealed: The footprint of terrorism has grown alarmingly larger in the past four years. Jammu, Ayodhya, Varanasi, Samjhauta Express in Haryana, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Malegaon, Jaipur, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Guwahati and, in the latest attack, serial terrorist attack rocked Agartala in Mumbai just some days ago. During this period, more thank 800 persons have been killed and 2,411 injured, depicting a five-fold increase in those killed and injured. It is the same country, same people, same police and same intelligence agencies; what then explains this unprecedented increase? The answer is very simple: Weak laws have emboldened the terrorists and appeasement has failed to change their intentions.
Party or Nation
The Hindu reported on September 13: "In what is seen as the UPA government speaking with different voices over the need for states enacting tough anti-terror laws, the Union home ministry has not taken kindly to the suggestion of the National Security Adviser M K Narayanan favouring the Gujarat government's proposal to have its own law to deal with terrorist activities and organised crime. The NSA's suggestion was contained in a letter which he recently wrote to the home ministry. He reportedly saw no reason to turn down the request of the Gujarat government to have an anti-terror law. He also reportedly cited demands by a number of senior police officers both at the central and state levels for enacting a comprehensive, tough anti-terror law. Mr Narayanan did not see anything wrong in supporting such a demand."
The Administrative Reforms Commission, appointed by the government under the chairmanship of senior Congress leader Veerappa Moily, strongly supported the need for stringent anti-terrorist law. Speaking to the media on September 17, he said "a strong anti-terror law with equally strong safeguards to prevent its misuse is needed."
On September 24, Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi said, "There should be a strong law to deal with terror. A powerful law, not a failed law. POTA is a failed law."
In spite of these pronouncements, what is the net result? "No, no, we do not need a new law. Existing laws, if strengthened, are enough to fight terror."
How can India be safe under a government that has no mind of its own, that speaks in so many voices, and that is led by a prime minister who has an office but no authority? It is difficult to find out who runs this government and who takes the decisions.

A Letter to Mr. Raj Thackeray

Mr. Raj Thackeray! Mumbai can smile again today, as all terrorists were gunned down and Hotel Trident Oberoi, Nariman House and Hotel Taj have been cleared. People of Mumbai, who have been living in panic and terror since Wednesday night, now can relax and get back to work.

I don't where you were for the past 3/4 days, but I can assure you that you can come out of your hiding now and roam freely on the street of Mumbai. No, Mr. Thackeray, the credit does not go to you or MNS, who always talked about the pride of Marathi Manoos. MNS did not save Mumbai, it were our Army and NSG Commandos, who rescued Mumbai from these terrorists. If I am not wrong, Major S. Unnikrishnan (Originally from Bangalore and Officer from Bihar Regiment) and Commando Gajendra Singh (Dehradun) were not Marathi Manoos, still they sacrificed their lives for the safety of Mumbai.

Mr. Raj Thackeray, if you still believe that Mumbai was saved by any Marathi Manoos, think again. The Army and NSG Commandos were not Marathi Manoos only. They were from Bihar, UP, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, North East and all other parts of India. Still they fought for the people of Maharashtra, as they consider themselves as INDIANS.

Our braveheart martyrs Hemant Karkare (originally from Madhya Pradesh, but had chosen Maharashtra as his 'Karma Bhoomi'), Ashok Kamte and Vijay Salaskar did not consider themselves 'Marathi Manoos'. They laid down their lives for the safety of Indians and Foreigners.

Mr. Raj, Isn't it high time we abandon regionalism and join hands together to work for national integration and fight the biggest menace - terrorism together. They can't break us if we are united. There is no 'Marathi Manoos' or 'North Indian Bhaiya', Mr. Raj Thackeray. We all are Indians and let's pledge our support to the national cause. Mr. Thackeray, Will you stop now??? I hope the good sense prevails now. Jai Hind!

Time Management - I

Time Management (Part-I)

Can you see time, can you hear it, can you touch it, can you smell it and can you taste it? No way! Time is something beyond the realization of our senses. It has no form, no color no size and no physical shape. Birth of time is said to be with the big bang simply because we are unable to define or calculate it prior to this moment. Of- course, time existed even before the big bang. Nothing preceded time. How can we deny the existence of time just because we are unable to calculate or measure it?
The unique feature of time is its uniform speed. The speed of all other elements: sometimes slow, sometimes fast. However, the speed of time is uniform from the beginning to the end, if you don’t believe, ask your clock.
We cannot bottle time, we cannot store it in a cylinder, as we can do with oxygen, while climbing a mountain, we can store light and electricity in batteries, and we can keep liquid in bottle. We simply cannot store our time; we cannot put our excess time in our bank for future use. The fundamental principle of time is whatever is gone, is gone forever and it will never come.
Time is flawless it never drop or stop its flaw. If it is raining, water drops fall on Neem tree and become bitter. Water drops fall on sugarcane and become sweet. By dropping into the Ganges, it becomes Gangajal, by falling into the gutter it becomes mud, by falling on mountain it becomes Hill station, Now what is the real characteristics of water? Always matter the recipients.
We often say he is passing through a bad phase of time or his time is good. But is it time good or bad in fact? Is it not true that only circumstances are good or bad? In fact, time neither good nor bad. Only the results are good or bad. And results are the products of certain action or circumstances; several circumstances produce a result together.
We must realize that circumstances produce events and if we want to control the events we will have to control the circumstances we also must realize that to a large extent our actions determine our circumstances or conditions. If we control and carefully choose our actions, our circumstances will automatically favoring us.
It is silly to blame the time. Look for the cause, look at the circumstances. Try to understand them. Then find ways and means of reacting our goals by analyzing the circumstances.
Time makes a big contribution in our making. The stammering of a child sound sweat to us. When a child walks staggeringly, we make a big think of it and start clapping. But if the same child walks staggering after ten years, will we appreciate it. The answer is self-evident. The reason is because now he is ten years old. What do we mean by ten years? It indicates a span of time.
Time exists; that’s why we exist. In our daily life we don’t realize its true existence, however the truth is that a minute can change our destiny. Minutes are important not only in the preparation of native charts, but also building our life. If we take care of minutes, hours will take care of ourselves. Treat every minute as a brick, with which we build the castle of our dream.
At times we hear this complain that in winter days become short. Do we find the above statement true? Yes, if by day we mean the duration from sunrise to sunset. But if by day we mean Monday to Sunday, than this sentence is incorrect. A daily still carries 24 hours. What has changed is this that the sun is rising one and a half hours late and it is setting one & half hours earlier compared to the summer. If the sunrise and sunset determine the activities of our life, winter days would be naturally tough on us. However this should not happen our clocks or watches should determine our activities.
Time is divided into small chunks, for example morning, noon, evening, day, night, week, month, year etc. To know this is very important because we often think that if we have waste a piece of time, we needn’t worry as others chunks of time are safely available there. It is not true. Be assured that if we have lost a little chunk of time, we cannot imagine how it will adversely affect the forthcoming events, every event has a chain reaction. That is, if one link of a chain is weak while hundred other links are strong, this one weak link will make the whole chain weak.
When we are sad we feel as if time has stretched. We find it difficult to pass time. When we are unhappy, the night seems to be unduly long, as if it never and when we are happy time seems to pass quickly it seems as if its feet have turned into wings & it flies. We are unable to hold it. Lovers find the moments of waiting very long, every minute is equivalent to one hours. But when the waiting time ends, the parameters of time get reversed. Than every hour seems to be equivalent to minutes.
Nature has fitted an automated clock in our mind. Though we are unaware of its existence, it keeps on ticking. There are two types of people one is having less work and another is heavy work and called a workaholics. Workaholics believe in work like 24x7 days. If you want to do more better work. It is not necessary for you to work for 16 to 24 hours. After doing this you feel tired, creative ideas would not come in your mind, your mind will stop working properly, you will feel sleepy, you will spoil relationships. This is the price, which every workaholic will pay, working for longer hours are not important.
It is more important that your working hours should be solid and compact. If you have fully utilized your day, you need not burn the midnight. Whenever we try to manage anything we tend to become tense. If we try to manage our breathing, how tense we will be! Because breathing is natural and effortless. It is an automatic activity for which we do not have to think at all. In order to avoid tension, we have to make our time management as natural as effortless and automatic as our breathing. We should not try to manage the time; we should always try to manage ourselves in such a fashion that our time is automatically managed. It is our altitude that makes difference everything.
Once Mr. Rajiv Gandhi said that ‘The question is not how much time you are spending. The question is how you spend it.’ So quality always matters. This is called the compactness of time.
It is not easy to close the ‘Time Management’ as so simple looks like above but we all people have to work over it to utilize the maximum of our time frame from daily life. So I have tried lot to close it but I don’t think it could be close now. So I have decided that whatever I have in my mind about this topic I will share to my reader.

Next part of this topic will publish very soon…………………………..

Waiting for comment!

For loving father

Some word for loving father

If you honour your father and mother, "you will live a long life, full of blessing.” And now a word to you fathers. Fathers are the biggest source of strength for a child for me as well even today. The innocent eyes of a child perceive father as the all-powerful, most knowledge, truly affectionate and the most important person in the family. For daughters, fathers are the first men they adore and fall in love with. While for sons their fathers are the strongest person they know and someone they aspire to emulate.Even for the grownups fathers are someone whom they look up to for the most experienced and honest advice that is always in the best of their son.For this great figure in our life that we know as father.

Say Thanks to Dad
Children blessed with a loving father should consider themselves fortunate. For, they have someone to take care of their needs and interests. Someone to stop them when they are diverting to a wrong path and guide them on a road to success and virtue. For many of us fathers have always been there to solve our innumerous mathematics and science problems and explain the same formula hundredth time or better still until it is understood by us. Fathers would never ever give a smallest of hint to let us know how hard they work to take care of our needs and fulfill our demands... For all their adorable scolding and affectionate punishments we all owe a big thanks to our Dads.

Apologize to Dad
Father's Day also brings with it the wonderful opportunity to apologize for all our rude and insensitive behavior. We as children often take the love and affection of our parents for granted and treat them with outright contempt. We need to apologize. We must feel great to have the presence of loving father in our lives and do not disrespect the blessing of God on us. On Father's Day we must says “Sorry” to our Dad and seek their forgiveness for our wrong behavior."Spcially I want to say my dad for my rude behavior at childhood time."

Celebrate the big Day with Dad
We must make all efforts to celebrate Father's Day with our Dad. Children staying away from father must especially strive to spend the day with father and show gratitude for all their support and love.We must pamper father by spending the day in a manner he likes most. We can also express love with thoughtful gifts accompanied by a bouquet of his favorite flowers. The idea is to show our affection and tell Daddy how much he is loved and appreciated not just on Father's Day but every single day of our lives.

Happy Mother's Day

‘Happy Mother’s Day’ means more
Than have a happy day.
Within those words lie lots of things
We never get to say.
It means I love you first of all,
Then thanks for all you do.
It means you mean a lot to me,
And that I honour you.

But most of all, I guess it means
That I am thinking of
Your happiness on this, your day,
With pleasure and with love.

Everything by Mummy

How did you find the energy, Mom
To do all the things you did,
To be teacher, nurse and counselor
To me, when I was a kid.

How did you do it all, Mom,
Be a chauffeur, cook and friend,
Yet find time to be a playmate,
I just can’t comprehend.

I see now it was love, Mom
That made you come whenever I’d call,
Your inexhaustible love, Mom
And I thank you for it all.

I want you close to me

I want you close to me, don't be afraid to explore.
Let your mind wonder and hands go free.
Let your imagination stretch to your wild-ess dreams.

Tonight is a night to remember.
Promise to make every second a worth.
The clock is ticking, and I'm going insane.

Just siting here waiting for you to come home.
My darling to kiss your body with mines,
is a real fantasy.

Don't wanna waste no time talking.
Wearing absolutely nothing so you get the drift.
Now all I have to do is just wait.

India has largest number of Googlers outside the US

India is fast becoming Google’s delight. Google India has already become the second-largest operation for Google worldwide in terms of employee numbers. The Google operations in Gurgaon, Bangalore, Mumbai and Hyderabad put together, make for the highest number of Googlers outside the United States. India has also emerged as the highest growth market for Google in terms of advertising revenues.

Given the burgeoning size of the mobile users in India, Google is investing huge resources into the next leg of its research and development, focused at the Indian market. The emphasis is clearly on delivering services, especially pushing information, through mobile devices to the rapidly proliferating mobile population in the country.

“India is a very important part of our operations, globally. We have had a large engineering and operations presence through the R&D centre and global sales & support centres in India. But, the focus in the recent times has been to ramp up the market-facing capabilities for servicing the Indian market. This part is expected to clock the highest growth for Google India in the coming quarters,” said Google India Managing Director Shailesh Rao.

“A huge chunk of the Indian population is using mobile devices for data services – be it for short messaging or WAP application. The focus of our product development is to offer products and services for this set of users,” he added.

The Google team in India is also concentrating on developing non-Hindi and non-English capabilities for mobile device users. “We are looking at ways to provide information to users who are usually challenged with respect to access by providing transliteration capabilities while they are on the move, just as we have done for our online products.”

The idea is to make social networking and search friendly for the disparate Indian user profile by providing more Indic content.

Last year, dovetailing its development effort with the Indian requirements, Google extended the reach of its products to non-Hindi and non-English speakers by offering transliteration capability on blogger, search and also on Orkut.

“The strategic importance that Google attaches to its India operations is fairly obvious given that there are few countries that have the growth profile and the scale or the structural opportunity as is presented by this one country. It is the largest democracy where sharing of information is centre-stage. With the youth demographics of this country, everything is centered around knowledge and sharing of information. That is precisely the need that we are here to satiate,” said Rao.

Love Marriage VS Arranged Marriage - The IT Perspective

Love Marriage
Resembles procedural programming language. We have some set functions like flirting, going to movies together, making long conversations on phone and then try to fit all functions to the candidate we like.

It is a throwaway type of prototype as client requirements rises with time thus it is a dynamic system and difficult to maintain.

Family system hangs because hardware called parents are not responding.

You are the project leader so u are responsible for implementation and execution of PROJECT- married life.

Client expectations include exciting feature as spouse cooking food, washing clothes etc.

Acceptance test possible you can try before you Buy.
Arranged Marriage
Similar to object oriented programming approach. We first fix the candidate and then try to implement functions on her. The main object is fixed and various functions are added to supplement the main program. The functions can be added or deleted.

Requirements are well defined so use of waterfall model is possible.

Compatible with hardware Parents.

You are a team member under project leader parents so they are responsible for successful execution of project Married life.

All these features are covered in the SRS as required features.

Product is sold on an as is where is basis, Product once sold will not be taken back!

The benefits of Surya Namaskar (Good Morning SUN)

Better pray to the Creator rather than the created things.

When you believe that AIR is there without seeing it - the same way believe in the One & Only Creator and not its innumerable created things. Each created thing is created for its specific purpose which it is doing like man created for his worship and he has to worship him ONLY and not his created things.

It tones up the nervous system and improves memory & produces health, strength, efficiency and longevity. It promotes sleep and calms anxiety, refreshes the skin and prevents Skin disorders as well.

It is a religious ritual, actually scientific reason is that during morning when sun is red and the temperature is low, due to low temperature the atmospheric gases composition becomes in such a way that it absorbs negativity from the rays coming from sun to earth. This more positive rays are being received by our fore head generates more positivity in our body.

Are you a father?

You are a father. It looks like such a simple sentence. But your new role is actually profound; one you are a father, you can never be “not-a-father” anymore. By becoming a father, you’ve embarked on an amazing and fulfilling journey, powerful from the moment of birth.
The day you bring your newborn or your adopted back home with you is exciting and overwhelming. It’s a cliché, but your life will never be the same. Even if this is not your first child, he is different from your others and you are different than you were before. Heck, my identical twins were born 14 minutes apart; they are markedly different from one other, as is my relationship with each of them. Each father-child bond is unique and continually evolving.

The child is not the only one being influenced here. As James Joyce once said, “People talk of my influence on my daughter, but what about her influence on me?”

No one has ever been so completely dependent on you as this baby. It feels wonderful to be so needed, but also a bit scary. Fortunately, you have more resources at your disposal than you may think (for example, Dsds & Daughters).

That said, I think every prospective parent should watch the movie Parenthood before getting pregnant. The film could easily be called Fatherhood, since the main character is a dad. That movie makes clear some central truths about fathering:

- It is like a roller coaster.
- You can’t know for sure how your actions will affect your children.
- You can guarantee that your actions do affect your children.

My favorite line from Parenthood is when Keanu Reeves’ character Tod says, “You need a license to buy a dog or drive a car. Hell, you even need a license to catch a fish. But they’ll let any [expletive deleted] a**hole be a father.”

With a bit of earthy humor (the kind guys like, right?), Tod explains the biggest dilemma a new father faces: No one trained me for this job. The child doesn’t come with an operator’s manual, plug-and-play attachments, or downloadable upgrades.

Despite this, dads today have more freedom than ever to take “nontraditional” approaches to fathering. Many men take time away from their careers to stay home with the baby while their partners return to the workplace. Other men work part-time or telecommute so they can commune with baby every possible moment. Some men even teach Head Start and early childhood parent education classes!

In other words, you don’t have to father the same way your father or grandfather did. You can be your own kind of Dad. That opportunity is liberating and exciting, but can also be disconcerting. After all, it’s harder to find examples to follow when you’re doing things in a new way.

But did you know that nature provides tools that you may not yet be conscious of? For example, from the moment of birth, you and your baby can instinctively communicate with each other, even though it’ll be a year or more before she uses words.

A pioneering pediatric psychologist, the late Dr. Lee Salk (brother of Jonas, creator of the polio vaccine) urged parents to trust this kind of natural connection. As a new dad, I took comfort and confidence from Salk’s What Every Child Would Like His Parents to Know (Warner, 1973-now out-of-print).

In a refreshing departure for a parenting author, Salk argued that we shouldn’t worry so much about what the latest parenting book says. His book wisely encouraged me to trust my heart along with my baby’s sounds and body. If I “tuned in” to my deep fathering instincts, and the signals my infants “broadcast,” I’d have most of what I’d need to be a good father. As fathering expert Will Glennon says, “The key is to father from the heart.”

Spiritual Revolution

These references are emphatically worth noting and initiating Socratic dialogue upon, as opposed to an unfruitful focus on apocalyptic scenarios. We begin by initiating the next Holisitic Quantum Relativity -- HQR* -- Socratic dialogue on Buddhism, the Baha'i faith and The Golden Age of the Unity of Humankind and Peace with the overarching Grace of The Great Spiritual Masters!
HH Master Kirpal has said, "Truth is eternal, and all Masters taught the same old Truth with one opinion, but their commandments differed according to the prevalent conditions of their time." Many people could not understand the deep meaning when His Holiness said, ‘Mind, that the Golden Age is approaching!’

Reflections on Buddhism and the Bahá’í faith

The Spiritual Master, Gautama Buddha, was born a prince in Northern India around the year 563 BC. Buddha means "Enlightened" and he claimed to be one of a series of Buddhas -- Enlightened Ones -- revealing teachings to humanity over many thousands of years.

The Bahá’í Faith was founded by the Great Bahá’u’lláh, Who was born into a noble family in Persia in 1817. Bahá’ís recognise Him as one of the successive Buddhas, the “Buddha of Universal Fellowship”, for whom humankind had been waiting at the time.

Gautama Buddha promised repeatedly that after a long period of time, another Buddha would arise:

“I am not the first Buddha Who came upon this earth, nor shall I be the last. In due time, another Buddha will arise in the world, a Holy One, a supremely enlightened One… knowing the universe, an Incomparable Leader of men… He will reveal to you the same eternal truths which I have taught you. He will preach to you His faith, glorious in its origin, glorious at the climax and glorious at the goal… He will proclaim a spiritual life, wholly perfect and pure, such as I now proclaim. His disciples will number many thousands, while mine number many hundreds.” (Digha-nikaya, IV.26)

When asked how Buddhists would recognize this new Teacher, the Buddha replied, “He will be known as Maitreya, which means He Whose name is kindness.” The other title for the Buddha-to-come was Amitabha (or Amida), which means “The Glory of the Infinite”. The blessed child born in Persia in 1817 was given the name Husayn, which means “kindness”, but later adopted the spiritual title of Bahá’u’lláh, (“The Glory of God” or “The Glory of the Infinite.”)

The Unknowable Essence

Speaking of the Creator, the “First Cause”, the Buddhist Scriptures say, “O disciples, there is a non-born, a non-produced, non-created and a non-formed. If there were not, O disciples, a non-born, a non-produced, a non-created and a non-formed, there would be no issue for the born, the produced, the created, the formed.” (Udana, v.81)

Bahá'u'lláh described the Supra Universal Consciousness in this way, “The birds of men's hearts, however high they soar, can never hope to attain the heights of His unknowable Essence. It is He Who hath called into being the whole of creation, Who hath caused every created thing to spring forth at His behest… Far be it from His glory that human pen or tongue should hint at His mystery, or that human heart conceive His Essence. ” In one of His books, ‘The Seven Valleys’, Bahá'u'lláh described the seventh valley as “true poverty and absolute nothingness”. This, the ultimate goal of life, is explained as “ the dying from self and the living in God.”

The Basic Truths

Although the basic truths taught by Gautama Buddha remain the same, they are expanded and made more explicit, in accordance with the needs of this age. The Buddha taught The Middle Way, between materialism and extreme asceticism. This approached is reaffirmed by Bahá’u’lláh: “In all matters moderation is desirable. If a thing is carried to excess, it will prove a source of evil.”

The Buddha presented the Noble Eightfold Path as a guide to living. As projected by the Buddha, Bahá’u’lláh taught similar noble ideals. Below are some examples of Bahá'u'lláh’s teachings under the individual headings of the Buddha's Eightfold Path:

Right Understanding

“Man should know his own self, and know those things which lead to loftiness or baseness, to shame or to honour…”

Right Resolve

“He is my true follower who, if he come to a valley of pure gold will pass straight through it aloof as a cloud, and will neither turn back, nor pause.”

Right Speech

"Verily I say, the tongue is for mentioning what is good, defile it not with unseemly talk.”

Right Conduct

“They that follow their lusts and corrupt inclinations have erred and dissipated their efforts. They indeed are of the lost.”

Right Livelihood

“It is made incumbent on every one of you to engage in some one occupation, such as arts, trades, and the like. We have made this – your occupation – identical with the worship of God, the True One.”

Right Effort

“All efforts and exertion put forth by man from the fullness of his heart is worship, if it is prompted by the highest motives and the will to do service to humanity.”

Right Mindfulness

“The station of absolute self-surrender transcendeth, and will ever remain exalted above every other station.”

Right Contemplation

“The meditative faculty is akin to the mirror; if you put it before earthly objects it will reflect them… But if you turn the mirror of your spirits heavenwards… the virtues of the Kingdom will be obtained.”

Progressive Revelation

Bahá’u’lláh taught the idea of progressive revelation. The Founders of the faiths of the world, in every age, reaffirm the universal spiritual truths, but also reveal new teachings appropriate to the conditions of the time:

"Every Prophet Whom the almighty and peerless Creator hath purposed to send to the peoples of the earth hath been entrusted with a Message, and charged to act in a manner that would best meet the requirements of the age in which He appeared." Bahá’ís believe that the new Teaching (Dharma) specifically for this age is the recognition of the oneness of religion and the oneness of humankind.

Bahá’u’lláh introduced teachings designed to bring about this universal fellowship. These teachings include:

· Equality of women with men
. Independent investigation of truth
. Elimination of poverty
. Relinquishing prejudice of all kinds
. A world federation
. A society based on spiritual values

These teachings will bring about the Golden Age of humankind, prophesied by the Buddha as “the world system of the Lord Amitabha”, the ‘Pure Land’.

The Bahá'í writings describe it like this:

“The gift of God to this enlightened age is the knowledge of the oneness of humankind and of the fundamental oneness of faith. War shall cease between nations, and by the will of God the Most Great Peace shall come; the world will be seen as a new world, and all men will live as brothers.”

Happiness about to be pure

Beyond the high speeds of those imaginary particles we describe and much further than the field of infinite potentiality of the new verse, there lies a most shy, omnipotent, innocent and inexplicable joy.
Let’s make believe, like little girls playing at serving invisible tea that we are hearing this music unheard, and dance, just dance

Bring along the so-called sins and other deviations that spice up the rhythm yes why not, also the sac of virtues and credits you can spare.

Let’s dare to be absolutely naked in this purity so insane that it can only be seen in moments of silence and then forgotten, like sacred oaths unspoken.

Pour the cups of non existing tea and share with each other this instant our little girl hands so poised and elegant as they pour and serve, the inebriating nothing tea that lies hidden, in the shyness of the explosion.

Beyond the accelerated particles of our imagination, way in there, impossibly near , hiding behind what has never been lost. Collapsing in intervals so fine you can call them divine and yet it is all beyond words and languages.

Calculation for Success

All of us appear to measure success differently. I asked family and friends and they wondered if success is linked to:
. Our level of satisfaction

. Our level of happiness and consciousness of what we are and what we have

. Having security in regard to lifestyle -- shelter, food, clothing and leisure -- both now and in the future

. Fulfilling our creative energy and deeper purpose

. Our optimistic attitude and positive energy, which attracts more of the same, which we call "good luck"

. Remembering where we have come from, what we feel we are, and where we are headed

. Capability to listen, to learn and to love

. Capability to influence and motivate others around us

. The sharing of inner feelings with family and/or friends

. Having trusted companions

. Knowing what we have achieved and what we are likely to achieve on the basis of our present trajectory

. Our perception of our relative position

. Being renowned amongst our peers for our domain specific expertise

. Role(s) and responsibilities

. Societal standing and display of status symbols

. Feeling liberated

Also, we may prioritise the different threads which make up success in our own way. What are your measures of success? Do they make you happy?

If success, satisfaction and happiness are linked, why does our modern society make success reductive and measure it often in terms of excessive accumulation of money, power and glory, which may not deliver satisfaction or happiness?

Listen your Inner Guide

Each of us has had this experience: we knew something was going to turn out a certain way, but we didn’t listen to that gut instinct and it cost us. Maybe we missed out on an opportunity, or we had to dig ourselves out of some kind of mess. But we’ve all done it.
The other day I caught myself ignoring my inner guidance. I didn’t quite catch it as early as I’d have liked, however. I spent an entire weekend working on a series of articles for a website. Somewhere inside I just knew it wasn’t the right kind of content. But I didn’t want to admit to myself that I was wasting my own time, so I kept trying to tweak the wording to force what I was writing into a better fit. I probably got a third of the way through what I was trying to accomplish when I couldn’t take it any more. I stopped myself (not easy!) and sent in what I had already written to the editor to check that I was going in the right direction. When I got his reply I “hid” from it for a little while, not wanting to even open it, because I already knew what it was going to say.

It was a frustrating little tug-o-war with my ego, but it was progress. At least I stopped, right? And it helped me to get more clarity on where I should have been going in the first place. After the fact, I do feel good about the experience. But, boy! It was excruciating witnessing myself struggle through it.

So who else is making progress out there? Are you someone who enjoys the learning process of self-help concepts and techniques, but who then looses steam when it comes to practicing what you’ve learned? It’s always fun to get a new book or DVD, or to attend a seminar and spend time thinking and talking about all of this stuff. But putting it into practice is a whole different ball game.

www.shashionline.in

What is beauty?

What is beauty, and how do we find it?
We live in a culture where feeling beautiful has a profound impact on one’s self-esteem and self-confidence, particularly for women. This culture would have us believe that there is a particular “look” that is beautiful, namely thin, young, and blemish-free.

The Dove advertising campaign has helped to shed light on the many ways that the advertising industry promotes this unrealistic view of beauty. There is a constant message that if you are not perfect, you are not quite good enough; you are not really beautiful.

Statistics reflect the impact of these messages: 80-90% of adult women dislike their bodies. 15% of women say they would sacrifice more than five years of their lives to be thinner, while 24% say they would sacrifice up to three years of their life. 81% of 10-year-olds are afraid of being fat, 78% of 18-year-old girls are unhappy with their bodies, and the number one wish of girls 11-17 years old is to lose weight. 51% of 9 and 10 year-old girls feel better about themselves when dieting, and 9% of 9-year-olds have vomited to lose weight.

The natural process of life seems to be a problem. Anti-wrinkle creams and botox treatments abound. There are millions of diet products, shakes, and nutrition plans designed to help you shed unwanted pounds. It is as if we constantly need to fight against our bodies and their natural processes in order to achieve the desired beauty, the desired “perfection.” This constant focus on what we are not or what we should be eclipses the beauty of who we are.

When we struggle in this way against our bodies and ourselves we are setting ourselves up for pain and misery. When we focus on what we should be or how we should look, we live with a constant state of fear and dissatisfaction.

What if beauty was more expansive then we think? What if everyone was beautiful simply because they exist?

We can learn to see beauty in everyone and everything, regardless of how closely they fit culturally-dictated standards of desirability. When we learn to see beauty in ourselves and the world around us, we discover that we are more than enough. We no longer have to live with a sense of inadequacy or shame; we no longer have to live wishing that our nose was smaller, our stomach flatter, or our hair fuller. We can begin to live from a place of peace, knowing we are beautiful simply because we exist.

Sometimes, however, finding the beauty in ourselves can seem like a herculean task. We are constantly being exposed to messages that we should be taller, shorter, thinner, fitter, wealthier, etc. It is a constant practice of returning to ourselves and affirming with compassion “I am beautiful; I am radiant; I am divine.”

We can soar on the wings of eagles, but we must learn to love ourselves first.

Each of us has had this experience: we knew something was going to turn out a certain way, but we didn’t listen to that gut instinct and it cost us. Maybe we missed out on an opportunity, or we had to dig ourselves out of some kind of mess. But we’ve all done it.

Happiness about to be pure

Beyond the high speeds of those imaginary particles we describe
and much further than the field of infinite potentiality of the new verse,
there lies a most shy, omnipotent, innocent and inexplicable joy.
Let’s make believe, like little girls playing at serving invisible tea
that we are hearing this music unheard, and dance, just dance

Bring along the so-called sins and other deviations that spice up the rhythm
yes why not, also the sac of virtues and credits you can spare.

Let’s dare to be absolutely naked in this purity so insane
that it can only be seen in moments of silence and then forgotten,
like sacred oaths unspoken

Pour the cups of non existing tea and share with each other this instant
our little girl hands so poised and elegant as they pour and serve,
the inebriating nothing tea that lies hidden, in the shyness of the explosion

Beyond the accelerated particles of our imagination, way in there,
impossibly near , hiding behind what has never been lost.
Collapsing in intervals so fine you can call them divine
and yet it is all beyond words and languages.

Emotional distress due to social networking websites

There is a boom of social networking websites on Internet .The newer social networking sites like orkut , wayn, myspace not only helps in building social contacts but also gives other privileges like earning through blogging & uploading pictures .Majority of people who surf Internet frequently are members of at least one social networking websites either for fun , or to build contacts or for promotion of their own on line business or for earning through blogging . When it comes to earning through blogging , people spend several hours in a day to update their blogs & than on reading & commenting other blogger work. As a result of which blogger get very much acquainted with each others style of writing , thoughts ,likes , dislikes ,profession & other personal aspects & at times blogger get attracted to opposite sex blogger. Once this happens the blogger mind gets completely diverted from blogging . He or she starts giving very sensitive comments on the articles of the blogger with whom he or she has got attracted .The comments are very frequent & personalized a result both the blogger get attracted to one another. Recently I came across few cases where in male blogger first approached female blogger by giving frequent & touching comments on their articles & than they exchanged their contact numbers & email IDs.Later the male blogger shared their past with the female blogger & expressed how lonely they are without true love in their lives & eventually proposed the females saying that they can only bring the lost love back into their lives . Women feel very sorry for the past of males & they started loving the them thinking that the males are very honest & will be carrying husbands if they tie knot with them. For few months these couples continued their interaction through blogging & chatting & meanwhile they committed for marriage , without any face to face meetings. Since it was not a true love & was near attraction the male blogger got attracted to another female blogger & thereby they lost interest in the previous female blogger & the commitments which they made to them became meaningless. As usual the females got very upset , they lost hope , trust & health & now these woman do not believe in the Institution of marriage they do not want to get married for ever & are not ready to forget them although their dream homes are scattered totally According to me it is not wrong to love somebody & to express love for someone nor I say it is the folly of men alone .Also there might be people who got true life partners through social networking sites but I feel one should not commit for marriage without family consent & face to face interaction with the person whom you met through social networking websites.

The choice for a life Partner

Marriage is a social custom which is given importance in most of the human societies all over the world & hence mate selection is a crucial part in marriage . Psychologists & Sociologists have developed several theories which deal with mate selection .These theories mainly suggest the factors that govern consciously or unconsciously an individuals choice for a mate. There are various theories however I am mentioning the common & popular theories of mate selection.

1 ) HOMO GAMY THEORY : According to this theory individuals choose life partner who also has the same religion , race , social status & economical status as he or she has.According to Psychologists the more the couple is homogeneous the better is their married life.

2 ) PROPINQUITY THEORY : According to this theory individuals often choose to marry a person with whom they are working in office for a long time or studying in same college or staying in same area or locality. The theory is based on the fact the individuals who work together or in same area or company or study in same class or college or stay in same area meet daily or occasionally & therefore develop some kind of attraction which influences their decision of mate selection.

3) COMPLEMENTARY NEED THEORY : The theory has been propounded by Winch .According to this theory the individual seeks out a mate to complement his or her own personality. Winch suggests that in mate selection the need pattern of each spouse will be complementary rather than similar to the need pattern of the other spouse .In other words the person choose a mate who will fill out the weaknesses in his or her personality.

4) PARENTAL IMAGE THEORY : Psychologist Sigmund Freud proposed this theory. According to this theory a child develops a deep attachment for the parent of opposite sex. Therefore in a partner the youth tends to seek the quality of his opposite sex parent .Thus a girl wishes to marry a man who has similar traits of her father & man wants to marry a woman who has similar traits of his mother. These theories govern our choice of mate consciously or unconsciously.

For the sake of Stomach

India women have to work extremely hard every day to get their daily bread . Due to ignorance & social customs like childhood marriage many Indian men are illiterate . As a result of which they have to go for jobs which involve more of physical work than mental work. However there are some professions which neither demand much physical or mental labor but still very hard & painful. Well in this article I am elucidating on the profession of Rudali & women posing nude for aspiring artists. Rudalis are women who are hired for morning in Rajasthan . These women have to dress up in black attire & have to cry loudly & beat their chest for hours. To cry continuously they use a kind of kajal to maintain the flow of tears. Rudalis are paid very nominal for their work . Just 15-20 Rs to cry for 4-5 hours. In long run crying affects the health of Rudalis. In Rajasthan people hire Rudalis for mourning when somebody dies in their family. It is believed that hiring Rudalis is a matter of status symbol & prestige. Wealthier the person & more number of Rudalis are hired by him in the event of death in his family. Still more painful & harder is the job of women posing nude for aspiring artists . In art schools where students are trained in painting & sketching women for nude modeling are appointed & are paid daily for their work. They have to pose nude for several hours & some times even have to work overtime. However these women are not paid in accordance with their toil. They get around 200 Rs daily . Recently I read about 50 years old Arai Sankar Naidu who is posing nude for last 30 years in Mumbai's oldest art college - J J School of Arts . Arai is an uneducated lady & due to domestic violence she left her in-laws house & migrated to Mumbai . In order to earn her daily bread she took up the job of nude model in J J School of Arts. When she started her career she used to get 8 Rs for 12 hours of work . Now she gets around 200 Rs from which she spends 25 Rs per day in transportation. Arai is not happy with the pay scale , she is happy as she was able to educate her son in an English medium school. Although Arai has helped several students of J J School of Arts in becoming renowned artists but unfortunately Arai is still a very poor lady living in Chembur area of Mumbai. Thus to get petty requirements of life fulfilled many Indian women have to take up profession of mourners & nude models & other embarrassing professions.
